Day Tours
We offer a variety of day tours ranging from casual hikes on the well maintained trails of Omar Torrijos National Park to more strenuous and less traveled paths such as the trails to Rio Colorado and Rio Blanco.
If you are interested in visiting an area in Coclé province that is not listed as a package tour, please contact us via telephone or e-mail. We will do our best to create the natural experience you are seeking.
 
Omar Torrijos H. National Park
 
Tour Length: 1/2 day and full day tours
Difficulty: Easy—Medium
Description: Experience mature secondary and premiere primary cloud forest as you explore the trails of the park.  Maintained trails allow guests to experience the tropical rainforest and its residents first hand.
Necessary Equipment: Each member of your party will need to bring WATER sufficient for your trip, rubber boots (sizes smaller than men’s 44 or 11.5 can be purchased in El Cope), and rain gear such as a poncho. Feel free to bring binoculars, cameras, and snacks if you like.
Las Yayas Waterfall and Omar Torrijos H. National Park
 
Tour Length: Full Day
Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
Description: In addition to experiencing the features of Omar Torrijos National park mentioned above, you will be able to walk a well-maintained, cement pathway to experience one of Panama’s hidden secrets, the Las Yayas Waterfall.  A clean cabin with electricity and running water is also available for rent if you wish to spend more time in the area.

Rio Colorado and Rio Blanco
 
Tour Length: full day or 2 days (1 night)
Difficulty: Intermediate
Description: Explore a pristine and beautiful river that winds its way down a mountain side featuring primary and mature secondary forest.  This site is ideal to see many species of birds and guests may be lucky enough to glimpse white-faced capuchins or other local fauna.
